Interpreters and Communications Aids, Deaf & Language Services

At Crawford Memorial Hospital we strive to accommodate the needs of our patients, especially their right to communicate with our staff and to understand what is happening to them. We have tools and resources available at no cost to assist in effective communication for those who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, speak another language, or those that cannot read.  CMH also offers Service Cards that are available in different languages to serve as quick references to assist with Non-English transulations. The staff at CMH may contact SpectraCorp (Language Line Services) or Interpreters for the Deaf (state of Illinois) for access to an interpreter to accurately interpret the nuances of language and culture at no cost to the patient.
