Interpreters and Communications Aids
At Crawford Memorial Hospital we strive to accommodate the needs of our patients, especially their right to communicate with our staff and to understand what is happening to them. We have tools and resources available at no cost to assist in effective communication for those who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, speak another language, or those that cannot read. If you or a loved one have a communication need or if something needs to be explained in a different way, please let one of our staff know, or contact 544-3131.
Lost & Found
If you or a loved one recently visited Crawford Memorial Hospital and lost or forgot something, you should first contact the hospital’s main phone number at 618-544-3131. Lost items are taken to the Admitting Desk and kept for 30 days.
Complaints and Concerns
During your visit with Crawford Memorial Hospital we will strive for excellence of care and customer service. If by chance you are dissatisfied with your experience, have comments, questions or ideas for improvement we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible. You may talk to your nurse, physician or other caregiver to provide assistance or if you prefer, you are welcome to contact Patient Complaints at 618-546-2657. They will listen to your concerns and help you to find a resolution.

If you have other questions about Crawford Memorial Hospital, please feel free to stop any staff member or volunteer. They will be able to answer your question or find you someone who can. Inpatient care areas and Emergency Services are staffed 24 hours each day, so even if you have a question late at night, someone will always be able to help you. The CMH Gift Shop, run by the Ladies Auxiliary, is located in the East Lobby and has incidentals, gifts flowers and candy. All monies raised from the sales go to various philanthropic Auxiliary projects for the hospital.The Gift Shop is open from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
Flowers and mail are always a great way to cheer patients up and remind them of all the support they have to return home. To send flowers, contact any florist that delivers to Crawford Memorial Hospital. Give them the hospital’s address: 1000 North Allen, Robinson, IL and the patient’s first and last name. Mail can be sent using the same address.
There are public restrooms located throughout the hospital. Ask a CMH staff member or volunteer for the nearest facilities.
Crawford Memorial Hospital is a smoke free campus. This includes all hospital buildings, HealthWorks and the Rural Health Clinics.
Crawford Memorial Hospital Cafeteria is open from 7:30 am until 2:30 pm daily. The breakfast line serves from 7:30 am until 9:30 am with a full lunch line from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Drinks and snack items are available from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm with complimentary coffee and ice tea available.
Available in the East Lobby, Emergency Room Waiting Area, and the Med/Surg Family Waiting Area, the vending machines offer cold drinks, selected sandwiches, snacks and candy.
Crawford Memorial Hospital does not have designated visiting hours but requests that all visitors cooperate with the well-being of our patients. Visiting hours for Special Care Unit are posted at the SCU entrance.
